How to switch
Move your team in four steps
Create your free BenchApp team
Pick your sport, name your team, and you are in. No credit card and no trial clock. Managers can run as many teams as they like from one account.
Bring your members across
Teamer has no members export, so open your Members page in a web browser (it shows more than the app: first name, last name, email, phone, and role). Copy it into our roster template, upload it, and BenchApp builds the roster in one go.
Short on time? Skip the spreadsheet. Share your team invite link in your Teamer chat or WhatsApp group and each player adds their own details.
Rebuild your schedule
Teamer's Events page has a Sync button that gives you a calendar subscription URL. Paste that URL into BenchApp's Sync Schedule screen, review the fixtures, and they copy straight in. Do it before October 5, because the feed switches off with Teamer.
Prefer a spreadsheet? Upload the season from a CSV or Excel file instead. And if your league publishes its own iCal, ICS, or WebCal feed, PRO teams can keep syncing from it all season.

When does Teamer shut down?
Teamer's own FAQ says the platform closes on Monday, October 5, 2026. Accounts and teams stop being available on that date, and Teamer says team and user data will no longer be accessible afterwards.
Can I export my data from Teamer?
Teamer says there are no export tools to make a team's events and members lists portable to a new system. Two workarounds exist. For members, open the Members page in a web browser before October 5 and copy the names, emails, and phone numbers into a spreadsheet, which BenchApp can import. For events, the Teamer Events page has a Sync button with a calendar subscription URL and an .ics download; paste the URL into BenchApp's schedule sync and your upcoming fixtures copy over. Messages and payment history cannot be exported, so screenshot anything you need to keep.
Is BenchApp really free?
Yes. The Free plan covers everything you used Teamer for: unlimited roster, scheduling, email RSVPs, team messaging, player stats, and payment tracking. PRO is $9 per month per team and adds no ads, text message RSVPs, broadcasts, and reminders, bulletins and polls, advanced finance tracking, and more.
Do my players have to pay or create accounts?
Players never pay. They join from your invite link, download the free app for iPhone or Android or use BenchApp in a browser, and can RSVP and message straight away.
Does BenchApp support my sport?
BenchApp supports hockey, roller hockey, ball hockey, street hockey, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, ultimate, volleyball, lacrosse, pickleball, football, golf, and cycling. Teams in other sports use the closest match, and you can manage several teams from one account.
What about the Teamer Premium subscription I paid for?
Teamer says all Premium subscriptions are being cancelled during September 2026 so nobody is billed into October. For refunds or billing questions, contact Teamer directly. BenchApp has no setup fees, so there is nothing to pay to switch.
